Accountant Fiscal Services

Salary Range: $58,000-$65,000

The opportunity:

The Fiscal Services Accountant performs a critical role in the daily Business Operations of the College. They are responsible for a variety of financial tasks including purchasing, accounts receivables, monthly account reconciliations, preparation of journal entries, processing payroll and assisting with monthly and year-end financial reporting. They properly record expenditures with grants and special funding projects. They oversee bookstore operations including inventory, Point of Sale systems, and training cashiers.

What you’ll do:

  • Purchasing – processes requisitions, orders goods and services, creates purchase orders, and verifies receipt of items and accuracy of vendor invoice. Coordinate with internal staff and external vendors to set up new vendor accounts in order to meet purchasing needs.
  • Assist with monthly reporting, year-end reporting, and Financial audit, including Form 1098T’s, Unclaimed Property, and Sales tax.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts for monthly financial reporting and for Grants and other special projects.
  • Process invoices and manage Accounts Receivables, collections and bad debt for Custom Fit, Students and The College.
  • Processes payroll and payroll liabilities.
  • Supervises the functions of 51ºÚÁÏÍø Tech College Bookstore as needed for textbooks and supplies.
  • Coordinate with Instruction & Enrollment Staff to ensure Student bookstore needs are met and booklist is kept current.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Prior experience in cash handling, inventory management, accounts receivable, and/or accounts payable
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of accounting software
  • Five, or more, years full-service accounting experience, preferred
  • Experience in higher education or governmental accounting, preferred
  • Use and knowledge of Student Information Systems, preferred

Barbering Substitute Instructor

Pay Rate: $29.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Three years of experience as a Barber
3. Licensed by DOPL in Barbering or Cosmetology/Barbering
4. Licensed by DOPL as a Barber Instructor or Cosmetology/Barbering Instructor
5. Able to perform the bookkeeping at the end of the day and prepare the accounting records and accurately prepare the daily deposit

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution
2. Experience in career and technical education

Cosmetology Instructor Part-Time

Hours: Monday through Friday 3:00 PM – 8:00 PMÌý

Salary Range:Ìý$31.10 – $35.75 per hour depending on experience

Diesel Technology Substitute Instructor

Pay Rate: $29.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
2. Three year’s Heavy-Duty Diesel (HDD) maintenance experience and/or certificate in Heavy Duty Diesel technician

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Teaching experience in a secondary or post-secondary institution
2. ASE Medium-Heavy Truck Certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Outstanding communication, interpersonal, professional and organizational skills
2. Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
3. Ability to operate and teach the proper operation of current HDD maintenance tools and machinery

Electrical Apprenticeship Instructor Part-Time

Hours:Ìý1-2 days per week from 6-10 PMÌý

EMT/AEMT Adjunct Instructor

Pay Range: $29.00 per hour

Hours: The hours will vary and will be determined with the Course Coordinator. Class hours August-May are Monday-Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Monday-Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Class hours May-August are Monday-Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Opportunity:
The adjunct instructor will be responsible for assisting in teaching and training students in both the
practical and theoretical aspects of advanced emergency medical services, including patient assessment,
treatment procedures, and medical protocols. They will assist with delivering lectures and covering gaps
in the instructional calendar. The main duty of the adjunct instructor will be to oversee hands-on skills
training and evaluate student performance to ensure competency and readiness for exams, including the National Certification exam, NREMT. Additionally, they ensure compliance with educational standards, contribute to curriculum development, and mentor students throughout their training.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with instruction and training within applicable program in accordance with curriculum and
    standards for subject matter being taught as assigned by the lead instructor or program director
  • Teach effectively using a competency-based curriculum
  • Evaluate the knowledge and competency of students and provide accurate reports under the
    supervision of the lead instructor and program director
